Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect will play an essential role in the success of Reflect and our clients. The expectation for this role is to assist with client retention and win new business by: 1) developing compelling proof of concept (POC) initiatives with prospects and customers, 2) working with various Reflect teams to define and collateralize compelling solutions leveraging Reflect’s unique competitive advantages, 3) managing key partner relationships to drive effective collaboration, integration of the partner product into the Reflect solutions, and joint marketing activities, 4) educating the direct and indirect sales teams on the full range and power of Reflect solutions.

For this position we are looking to hire an ideal candidate residing in Dallas, TX. Relocation is not available.

Responsibilities & Duties

Core duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Develop and deliver training that helps the sales team better understand:
    • Retail industry trends and issues
    • Reflect capabilities, especially as it relates to solving customer problems
    • Competitive positioning
  • Participate as needed in joint customer meetings, supporting the sales and account teams as the subject matter expert for Reflect solutions (both technical and services) and the retail space more broadly. This will include:
    • Understanding the customer’s overall business objectives
    • Helping to shape the customer’s buying criteria based on their objectives and Reflect’s competitive advantages
    • Defining the optimum Reflect solution
    • Presenting e Reflect solutions to both IT and Marketing buyers
  • Assist in the definition, packaging, and collateral creation for Reflect solutions including:
    • SaaS content delivery solution
    • Implementation services including hardware design and deployment
    • Agency services
  • In conjunction with the sales and account teams, work with prospects and clients to develop POC projects that help the client achieve their business objectives by leveraging Reflect’s unique capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape to help the sales and account teams better position Reflect solutions.
  • In cooperation with software development, update and maintain the product roadmap such that this becomes an effective positioning tool during conversations with prospects and customers.
  • Work with other Reflect teams to create and maintain a customer facing solution roadmap to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Maintain a database of top Reflect competitors and positioning recommendations.
  • Work with vendor partners to develop strong relationships that facilitate joint marketing/lead generation activities to drive a differentiated offering.
  • Participate in various industry events and associations as needed to develop insights that will help shape the Reflect solutions roadmap.
  • Create thought leadership to help support Reflect’s overall marketing and lead generation initiatives.
  • In cooperation with software development team, define plans for integrating Reflect solutions with other client software solutions such as ERP and CRM as needed to achieve desired business outcomes.

Education & Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of proven success in digital signage, store design, or agency environments a plus
  • Passion for retail vertical, innovation, and digital technology
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall development environments strongly preferred
  • Experience in crafting and leading presentations to senior team members including C-level executives
  • Exceptional technical acumen with ability to present complex solutions in clear and simple terms
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support company objectives
